Chris Ricks was born, raised, and currently resides in southeastern Virginia. Chris started hunting at just six years old when his father took him in search of whitetail deer on Saturday mornings. At ten, he killed his first deer with a twelve gauge shotgun. From that point forward, Chris was hooked! His love for the outdoors led him not only to hunting, but also to the sport of fishing.
Chris began his predator hunting journey after noticing the large growth in numbers. He especially enjoys predator hunting because he can, in a sense, beat the animals at their own game. He enjoys being able to call the animals to him, instead of simply waiting in the woods for them to appear. Currently, Chris spends most of his time hunting for red fox, gray fox, bobcats, and coyotes.
Chris' six year old son, Tyler, loves following in his daddy's footsteps just as much as Chris enjoys teaching him. Regularly, Chris' son tags along, learning to call animals, and taking in any hunting knowledge he can! Chris is proud to be a member of the FOXPRO family and brings a clear and vivid perspective on the sport of predator hunting.
