Ronson Childers, I’m 45 years old. I started hunting deer when I was 12 years old. After rifle hunting for a few years a friend and I started hunting with a bow during the high school days. That just led to wanting more. From there it went to bass fishing tournaments, then to 3D archery tournaments. Then one day, when I was around 25, a good friend and myself heard about a varmint-hunting contest in Comanche, TX. We said, heck let’s give it a try, sounds like fun. We’ve hunted a few times before for the fun of it, but now let’s go compete. We won and I’ve been hooked ever since. I’m guessing about the past 10 years I’ve represented FOXPRO at every tournament I’ve been to. Conversing with other fellow hunters about strategies, favorite calls, locations, and even trying to teach a trick or two to the new upcoming predator hunters.
I’ve been married to my wonder wife Tiffany Childers for the past 18 years. And what’s great about it, is she lets me pursue the varmint hunting that I love to do. Also she allows me to guide whitetail hunts during the fall at 4M Whitetails ranch, which I’ve done the past 10 years. We have 2 children, Cortney and Hunter, which are a blessing to us. Hunter, my 17 year old usually along with my dad, Ron Childers, make up my current team as we hunt tournaments across the state. When I’m not having all the fun hunting, I’m employed as a full time MRI technologist. I love the job, because I feel in a way that I’m helping people. Also just last year I was ordained a Deacon at First Baptist Church, Gorman, TX. I love our Lord Jesus Christ and all the wonderful things that God has blessed us with here on Earth. Especially the varmints…That's a Bonus..
